ТASHKENT, October 21. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited “FM World”, an agricultural machinery manufacturing enterprise in Karshi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our State, facility is part of “Jiangsu World Group”, a corporation ranked among China’s 500 largest private enterprises.
The $20 million project was financed entirely through foreign investment and occupies a five-hectare site, including 12,000 square meters of production facilities. The enterprise has created 200 jobs, with certain production processes automated.
Facility currently assembles five models of tractors, cotton harvesters and other agricultural machinery under the “Nasaf” brand. The tractors are equipped with GPS navigation, autopilot, fertilizer application management and remote monitoring systems. These technologies enable greater precision in field operations while reducing fuel consumption and the use of other resources.
Enterprise also conducts regular training sessions on servicing machinery in the field, identifying potential faults early and ensuring safe operation.
Localization rate in tractor assembly currently stands at 30 per cent, with 138 types of parts and components manufactured on-site. The importance of gradually increasing local content by expanding component production and strengthening cooperation with domestic enterprises was emphasized.
Plans include increasing annual exports to $50 million and supplying 30 per cent of production to neighbouring countries.
Head of State also inspected the production process and examined the finished machinery.
“Until now, we have relied on imported agricultural machinery, which has driven up costs. Producing modern equipment here in Kashkadarya, under our own brand, to make our farmers’ work easier was once just a dream. Localization is a natural continuation of our agricultural reforms, and we will continue to build on this progress”, President said.
