ТАSHKENT, March 4. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with the Emir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, it was noted that the escalating situation and growing conflicts in the Middle East pose a serious threat to regional peace and stability. Deep concern was expressed over unacceptable actions that exacerbate divisions within the Muslim Ummah during the holy month of Ramadan.

It was emphasized that the immediate cessation of any actions threatening state sovereignty, peace and stability is in the common interests of the countries of the region.

The Leader of Uzbekistan also expressed deep gratitude to His Highness the Emir for the measures taken and the conditions provided to ensure the safety of Uzbek citizens in Qatar and facilitate their return home.

In turn, the Emir of Qatar expressed special gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the cordial conversation, continued support and sincere words of solidarity during these difficult times, as well as for the great attention devoted to the development of bilateral strategic partnership.
