President of Uzbekistan to pay an official visit to Japan on December 18–20

TASHKENT, December 17. /Dunyo IA/. At the invitation of Prime Minister of Japan Sanae Takaichi President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to Japan on December 18-20, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
According to the press service of the Head of our state, the program of the visit to Tokyo includes, meetings and negotiations with Emperor of Japan Naruhito, Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, the leadership of the Parliament, members of the government, representatives of political parties, as well as rectors of leading Japanese universities.
The agenda includes the further expansion and deepening of the Uzbek-Japanese strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation.
The business program features meetings and events with the heads of major Japanese companies and financial institutions. The expansion of trade and economic cooperation and the promotion of investment projects will be substantively discussed. A substantial package of bilateral documents is expected to be adopted.
The President of Uzbekistan will also participate in the first summit of the Heads of state of the "Central Asia + Japan" Dialogue, which will address prospects for developing cooperation in such priority areas as the green economy and sustainable development, strengthening interconnectivity and regional partnership, as well as human resource development.
Following the summit, the Tokyo Declaration is scheduled to be adopted.
