President of Uzbekistan participates in an informal meeting of the CIS heads of state in Saint Petersburg

ТASHKENT, December 22. /Dunyo IA/. Today, President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in an informal meeting of the CIS heads of state at the State Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, the event was attended by President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov as well as Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan.

During the meeting, the main outcomes of the joint work this year were summarized, and priority tasks for the upcoming year were outlined. An exchange of views took place on topical issues on the regional and international agenda.

The importance was emphasized of further creating favorable conditions to increase mutual trade turnover, deepen cooperation in the field of transport, stimulate the growth of mutual investments and support cooperation projects, strengthen cooperation in energy and digitalization, expand joint projects in science, education, culture, and art, as well as develop long-term partnerships between regions.

The need to preserve and develop cultural and humanitarian exchange between the Commonwealth countries was also noted, particularly supporting the development of the creative, innovative, and intellectual potential of young people.
