President of Uzbekistan visits Bahauddin Naqshband Mausoleum in Bukhara

ТАSHKENT, August 24. /Dunyo IA/.  Today, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Bukhara to participate in the second day of the Uzbekistan–Azerbaijan summit, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the press service of the Head of our State, visit began with a pilgrimage to the Bahauddin Naqshband Mausoleum. Verses from the Qur’an were recited, and prayers were offered for the peace and prosperity of our people.

Complex is regarded as one of the most significant sacred sites in the Islamic world. Built around the burial place of Bahauddin Naqshband, the founder of the Naqshbandiyya Sufi order, the memorial complex now comprises a mausoleum, a khanqah, mosques, a necropolis and a museum dedicated to the history of Sufism.
