BEIJING, August 24. /Dunyo IA/. Chinese tourism magazine “Target” published an article on the growth in the number of foreign tourists in Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the publication, in January–July 2026, more than 7.7 million foreign citizens visited the country for tourism purposes, which is 1.4 million people, or 22.6%, more than the figure for the same period last year.

In July alone, approximately 1.18 million foreign tourists visited Uzbekistan. Meanwhile, in the first half of the year, the tourist flow exceeded 6.5 million people, increasing by nearly 25% compared to the same period in 2025.

Publication notes that this positive dynamic demonstrates the expansion of the tourist flow and the strengthening of Uzbekistan's position as a highly sought-after tourism destination in the region.
