Small Hydropower Plant Completed in Kashkadarya Region with Investment from British-Uzbek Entrepreneur

• 543SHAHRISABZ, September 5. /Dunyo IA/. A 3.5 MW small hydropower plant with a total project value of $3 million has been completed in the Shahrisabz district of Kashkadarya region, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.
The project was implemented by Sanjar Mavlyanov, a compatriot and head of the British fintech company “Moneff”.
The project will contribute to the efficient use of the region’s hydropower potential, the development of renewable energy sources and expanded capacity to ensure a stable electricity supply for the population. Its implementation will also support the development of local infrastructure and create new economic opportunities for the region.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan in London, the facility is expected to be commissioned in accordance with established procedures in the coming days. Work is currently underway to develop the necessary infrastructure for transmitting the electricity generated by the plant to the national grid and to complete the relevant technical procedures.
