Issues of enhancing Uzbek-Belarusian cooperation in agriculture discussed in Minsk

MINSK, April 14. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Rahmatulla Nazarov met with the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Yuri Gorlov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the conversation, both sides noted that significant positive results had been achieved in all areas of Uzbek-Belarusian relations. This is confirmed by the dynamics of high-level visits, active participation of business circles in various exhibitions, and joint activities within international and regional economic organizations. It was also emphasized that there is sufficient potential and opportunities for expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
In this regard, the implementation of joint projects in partnership with several Belarusian enterprises was reviewed.
The parties also discussed the joint cultivation of forage crops for livestock, as well as cereal crops and potatoes using the "in vitro" method, the breeding of river carp, and other areas of agriculture in the context of Uzbekistan's conditions.
Both sides expressed interest in fully utilizing the existing potential to enhance mutual cooperation and agreed to intensify mutual trade in agricultural products. Additionally, they agreed to organize an online meeting involving representatives from the Ministries of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and Belarus, as well as Belarusian enterprises.
