Agreement Signed in Vienna to Train Uzbek Specialists for Hospitality Industry

• 115VIENNA, October 1. /Dunyo IA/. A delegation of the Vocational Education Agency of Uzbekistan, led by its Director Azimjon Khusanov, visited Austria, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the visit, the delegation held meetings with President of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament Walter Rosenkranz and representatives of the federal ministries responsible for education, economy, energy, and tourism.
The sides discussed state policy in vocational education, Austria’s dual Lehre model, financing of technical colleges, the training of engineers and teachers, employer participation in the educational process, and cooperation between the education system and industry.
A roundtable was also held with the participation of heads and faculty members of IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences, the University of Leoben, and the University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.
During the meeting, Austria’s experience in vocational education was presented, while opportunities for cooperation with Uzbekistan in preparing young people for professional careers, the educational systems of the participating universities, workforce training, and mechanisms for their subsequent employment were discussed.
Following the meeting, Director of the Agency for Vocational Education Azimjon Khusanov and Executive Director of IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences Udo Brendl signed an agreement on training specialists and trainers in hotel management in accordance with international standards.
The training is planned to be organized at Vocational College No. 1 in Chartak District and Bukhara College of Tourism and Cultural Heritage.
