YEKATERINBURG, October 1. /Dunyo IA/.  Majestic conference center of the “HYATT Regency” in the Sverdlovsk Oblast hosted an official reception and a festive event dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event, organized by the General Consulate of Uzbekistan, was attended by Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation Botirzhon Asadov, Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Oblast Dmitry Ionin, Head of Yekaterinburg Alexey Orlov, Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District Alexander Kharlov, heads of regional chambers of commerce and industry, rectors of leading higher educational institutions, consul generals of foreign nations, representatives of business circles, as well as compatriots.

Ambassador of Uzbekistan Botirzhon Asadov, extended his congratulations to the guests on the occasion of the holiday and highlighted the significant achievements of the country over the years of independence, as well as the priority plans and strategic objectives for the future.

During the official segment of the event, representatives of the leadership of the Sverdlovsk Oblast and the Administration of Yekaterinburg commended the consistent development of interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia, expansion of trade and economic ties, as well as the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian interaction, extending their congratulations to the Uzbek people on the occasion of the holiday.

Within the framework of the festive program, letters of appreciation were presented to a number of local officials who actively contribute to the advancement of cooperation with Uzbekistan, including President of the Ural Tourism Association and Tourism Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Yekaterinburg Mikhail Maltsev, alongside active representatives of the Uzbek diaspora.

Artistic program left a profound impression on the guests, featuring performances by the “Bakhor” dance ensemble of the Tyumen Oblast and the laureate of the “Nihol” state award, Sharof Mukimov. Their repertoire showcased traditional musical compositions, songs and national dances.
