BERLIN, September 29. /Dunyo IA/. In the capital’s gallery “Q Gallery Berlin”, the solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition “Breath of Change: Uzbek-German Cultural Exchange” (“Wandlungen: usbekisch-deutscher Kulturaustausch”) was held, dedicated to the 35^th Anniversary of the State Independence of Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Event was attended by representatives of the German Bundestag and the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, diplomats, figures of culture and art, as well as the general public and art connoisseurs.

Exposition, organized by the Embassy of our country in Germany jointly with “Q Gallery Berlin” and the “Cultur-Cooperation International e.V.” society, features creative works and photographs by renowned German artists – Frank Rödel & Sibylle Prinzessin von Preußen - dedicated to Uzbekistan.

Ambassador Dilshod Akhatov, in his address, welcomed the participants of this cultural event and emphasized that the reflection of our country’s rich cultural heritage in the works of renowned German artists stands as another vivid testament to bilateral ties. It was also noted that in recent years, Uzbekistan has achieved immense success in the fields of art and culture; in particular, Bukhara International Biennial of Art and the newly established Center of Islamic Civilization are gaining significant international acclaim.

Dr. Joachim Bertele, Director for East Asia, South-East Asia and the Pacific at the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on Independence Day and stated that such exhibitions serve to further enrich relations between the two nations and build a close bridge between their peoples. A Member of the German Bundestag and Deputy Chairperson of the “Germany - Central Asia” Interparliamentary Friendship Group, Tobias Winkler, emphasized that Uzbekistan is an ancient center of science and culture that has made a colossal contribution to world civilization, noting that cooperation between the two countries is developing consistently across all spheres.

During the event, artists Frank Rödel & Sibylle Prinzessin von Preußen shared their impressions of their travels to Uzbekistan and spoke on how the rich historical heritage of our country provided profound inspiration for their creative work.

Opening ceremony continued with a concert program featuring performances of national dances.
