More than 200 representatives from Saudi Arabia takes part in the 4th International Pilgrimage Tourism Exhibition held in Tashkent

• 182TASHKENT, June 29. /Dunyo IA/. Facilitated by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Saudi Arabia, Association of Umrah Tourism Organizations organized the 4th International Exhibition “Umrah Plus and Ziyarah Tourism” at Tashkent's “Humo Arena”, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Core objective of the forum centered on the further advancement of leisure and pilgrimage tourism in Uzbekistan, the global promotion of the nation's profound religious, historical and cultural legacy, the diversification of hospitality services, and boosting the influx of international travellers.
Exhibition was attended by more than 200 representatives of Saudi Arabian business circles operating in the fields of hospitality, transport, aviation, catering, restaurant, and tourism businesses.
Within the framework of the event, B2B meetings, business negotiations, and presentations were held with the participation of representatives from the business communities of the two countries, aimed at expanding cooperation in the field of tourism and pilgrimage tourism. An exhibition of food products and dried fruits produced in Uzbekistan was also organized.
Special attention was paid to the presentation of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. The participants were briefed on the significance of the project, implemented at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, aimed at preserving and popularizing the scientific heritage of outstanding thinkers of the East, strengthening spiritual and educational values, and nurturing the youth.
During the exhibition, roundtables were held dedicated to the development of the tourism industry, digitalization, and the expansion of international cooperation. The participants were presented with the state policy on improving tourism infrastructure, developing gastronomic, ecological, winter, and handicraft tourism, as well as the tourism potential of the country's mountainous regions.
Furthermore, exhibition showcased cutting-edge digital innovations introduced across the tourism ecosystem. These include the Unified National Tourism Platform and its integrated mobile application, “Single Ticket” system designed for streamlined online procurement of entry tickets to museums, cultural heritage landmarks, and parks, alongside a state-of-the-art Digital Guide equipped with interactive mapping and multimedia travel services.
As part of the official itinerary, a tailored guided tour of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent was arranged for a delegation of 100 distinguished guests from Saudi Arabia.
