Egyptian Holding expresses interest in developing tourism cooperation with Uzbekistan

CAIRO, July 14. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats met with Moataz Sedky, head of “Travco Holidays”, a subsidiary of Egypt's largest tourism holding “Travco Group” and Marwa Talaat, Director of Marketing and New Destination Development, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Representatives of the holding thoroughly studied the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, including through presentations organized by the Embassy, and expressed high interest in developing this destination. At the same time, it was noted that the majority of Egyptians are currently not sufficiently aware of the tourism opportunities in Uzbekistan.
In this regard, the parties discussed the organization of a familiarization tour for “Travco Holidays” specialists. During the trip, the Egyptian experts will be able to assess the hotel infrastructure, accommodation facilities, restaurants, tourist attractions and the level of service on-site.
Particular attention was paid to the promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism potential. It was noted that while involving bloggers could serve as an effective tool, the primary task is the development of competitive and attractive tour packages. Following the study of the destination, “Travco Group” specialists intend to prepare a strategy for the systematic attraction of Egyptian tourists to Uzbekistan.
It was separately emphasized that today “Travco Group” owns and manages more than 100 hotels in the resort and historical cities of Egypt. In the event of developing cooperation, the holding is ready to consider the possibility of involving its specialists in the management of specific hotels in Uzbekistan. In addition, the company is interested in establishing direct contacts with the relevant agencies and leading tourism companies of the republic.
