SAINT PETERSBURG, August 6. /Dunyo IA/. A special issue of the international magazine “Consul” dedicated to the theme “Russia–Uzbekistan” has been published, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Issue reflects the current state of Russian-Uzbek cooperation, covering matters of diplomacy, economy, education, culture and interregional interaction.

Issue opens with a greeting from Evgeny Grigoriev, Member of the Government of Saint Petersburg and Chairman of the Committee for External Relations. Central to the magazine are an article by the Ambassador of Russia to Uzbekistan, Oleg Malginov, titled “35 Years of the CIS: A space of trust, partnership and shared future” and an interview with the Consul General of Uzbekistan Abdurakhmon Mahmudov.

Pages of the publication feature articles dedicated to the Days of Uzbekistan in Saint Petersburg, the development of economic diplomacy, the expansion of cooperation in the field of higher education, the tourism industry, cultural exchange and other topical areas of bilateral interaction. The authors of the publications are diplomats, experts, and representatives of the academic communities of Uzbekistan and Russia.

In addition to the thematic block “Russia–Uzbekistan”, magazine introduces readers to key international events, including the outcomes of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026, the latest graduation of the “School of the Young Diplomat” and other projects in the sphere of international cooperation. The special issue has become another contribution to strengthening humanitarian ties and developing a constructive dialogue between Uzbekistan and Russia.
