Moscow welcomes delegation of Uzbek children under international humanitarian exchange initiative

MOSCOW, January 5. /«Dunyo» IA/. A delegation of schoolchildren from Uzbekistan arrived in the Russian capital today, «Dunyo» IA’s correspondent reports.

According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the return visit organized by the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia is a continuation of the children’s cultural exchange program launched in the summer of 2025.

“We are currently welcoming 44 children and six accompanying adults from Uzbekistan at Domodedovo Airport. This trip is a logical continuation of the story that began when children from Russian regions spent their holidays at the ‘Anor’ camp. We are delighted to show our guests wintertime Moscow,” said Anastasia Anisimova, Deputy Head of the FITU Department for Organizational Work.

The exchange initiative was proposed by Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan Kudratulla Rafikov and received high-level support. Last summer, 100 children from the Belgorod, Bryansk, Moscow and Samara regions, as well as from Moscow, enjoyed a health and recreation program in Uzbekistan at the host country’s expense.

Over five days, Uzbek schoolchildren will explore Moscow’s main attractions. The extensive program includes visits to Red Square, “Zaryadye” Park, and the “Flight Over Moscow” media complex. The highlight of the visit will be attendance at the Kremlin New Year’s Tree celebration and a guided tour of the Kremlin.

The guests will also visit the Panorama 360 observation deck at Moscow City, the Victory Museum on “Poklonnaya” Hill, “VDNH” with the Atom Pavilion and the Museum of Cosmonautics, and the “Sparrow Hills”. Interactive workshops are planned, including at the Christmas Ornament Factory, along with walks through the historic city center, including GUM and Nikolskaya Street. Special emphasis is placed on the cultural program, featuring a visit to the musical “The Last Fairy Tale” at the Moscow Youth Palace.

The visit will conclude on January 9.
