Statistics: Over 34 Trillion Sums Spent on Education in Uzbekistan in the First 11 Months of 2025

TASHKENT, January 3. /«Dunyo» IA/. Uzbekistan continues to increase investment in human capital: from January to November 2025, the volume of market-based educational services reached 34.2 trillion sums, «Dunyo» IA’s correspondent reports.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, this figure is 8.8 percent higher than during the same period last year.
Growing demand for educational services has been recorded across all regions of the country. Tashkent city traditionally ranked first in terms of spending, with the volume of educational services exceeding 16.6 trillion sums, accounting for nearly half of the nationwide total.
Significant contributions were also made by:
- Samarkand region — 2.5 trillion sums,
- Fergana region — 2.2 trillion sums,
- Andijan, Bukhara and Namangan regions — 1.7 trillion sums each,
- Tashkent region — 1.6 trillion sums,
- Kashkadarya region — 1.5 trillion sums,
- Surkhandarya region — 1.2 trillion sums,
- Khorezm region — 1.1 trillion sums,
- Republic of Karakalpakstan — 1.0 trillion sums.
The lowest volumes of educational services were recorded in:
- Jizzakh region — 532.3 billion sums,
- Navoi region — 438.5 billion sums,
- Syrdarya region — 343.7 billion sums.
According to experts, the steady growth in education-related spending reflects increasing public attention to the quality of education and professional training. The emerging demand is creating new opportunities for modernizing educational programs and expanding the private sector in the education sphere.
