Roundtable discussion on the 690th anniversary of Amir Temur held in Aktau

AKTAU, April 9. /Dunyo IA/. A roundtable dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the statesman Sakhibkiran Amir Temur was held today at the central library in Aktau, Kazakhstan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event was attended by representatives of the city’s diplomatic corps, ethnocultural centers, public figures, students, compatriots, as well as officials from the Mangistau Regional Akimat and the central library.
During the event, information was presented noting that, at the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan, April has been declared the month of Amir Temur, and highlighting the upcoming international conference “The role and significance of the civilization of Amir Temur and the Temurids in world history and culture” at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent. Plans for scientific publications and educational activities were also announced.
Participants emphasized the significant contribution of the great military leader and statesman Sakhibkiran Amir Temur to world history, noting his important role in the development of states across Central Asia, Europe, and Anatolia.
The Turkish Consul General, Sabri Alptekin, highlighted that Amir Temur is recognized in world history as an outstanding statesman, a brilliant military leader, and a patron of science and culture. He also stressed that a comprehensive and in-depth study of Amir Temur’s history and the Temurid era, as well as conveying historical truth to the public, is a pressing necessity.
Additionally, participants were invited to visit the Amir Temur Museum, as well as the cities of Karshi and Samarkand, to gain a closer understanding of his life, reign, and enduring historical legacy.
The event concluded with participants agreeing to continue cooperating in efforts to promote knowledge about Amir Temur and the Temurid era.
