English-language edition of “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” unveiled at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy

Yesterday, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted the presentation of the English-language edition of the book “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” authored by prominent political scientist, Senator, and Chairperson of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, Kudratilla Rafikov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The event brought together representatives of government institutions, the diplomatic corps, academia, and the media. Among the attendees were Bakhromjon Aloyev, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Sodiq Safaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy; Sabine Machl, UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan as well as ambassadors and members of foreign diplomatic missions. The presentation also gathered faculty members, researchers, experts, and students of the University, giving the event a broad and distinguished audience.
During the presentation, participants were introduced to a comprehensive work examining the wide-ranging reforms and transformative changes carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The book provides an in-depth account of the country’s key strategic development priorities, covering political, economic, and social reforms. Particular emphasis is placed on economic liberalization, the strengthening of civil society institutions, the protection of human rights, and Uzbekistan’s growing role as an active and responsible actor in international affairs.
The English-language edition has garnered wide international attention, with earlier presentations successfully held at the United States Congress in Washington, D.C., and at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. These events generated considerable interest among foreign experts, policymakers, and diplomats, further strengthening the positive image of the New Uzbekistan on the global stage.
The author of the book, Kudratilla Rafikov, is widely known for his academic and public contributions. Since 2016, he has headed the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, serves as a member of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, and has authored several works dedicated to the country’s contemporary development. His book, “New Uzbekistan: The Path of Shavkat Mirziyoyev” is a comprehensive study of the nation’s transformative processes, detailing the main objectives, content, and outcomes of the reforms. Designed for an international readership, the publication offers a broader and deeper understanding of the profound changes taking place across the republic.
