Congratulation from China: Cooperation with Uzbekistan expands under the Belt and Road Initiative

GUANGDONG, January 1. /Dunyo IA/.  Ya Luo Yi, Chief Executive Officer of the reputable company “PK Environment” and Rector of the Guangdong College of Transport and Communications, has acknowledged the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan and extended New Year greetings to the people of the country:

– During high-level meetings, the heads of state reached numerous agreements aimed at further developing China-Uzbekistan relations, enhancing the well-being of their peoples, and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. In recent times, collaboration between Uzbekistan and China has been advancing rapidly across multiple sectors. The positive impact of the reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan has significantly contributed to successful partnerships between Chinese educational institutions and their Uzbek counterparts.

Our college, with a 66-year history, is a leading institution of higher vocational education in the field of transport. The campus covers 866,671 square meters and educates over 27,000 students across 61 specialties. Our institution serves as a national center of expertise, setting the leading strategy for transport education in China.

Our close friendship with Uzbekistan began in 2017. Since then, we have engaged in wide-ranging cooperation, from signing various memoranda with Uzbek educational institutions and facilitating humanitarian exchanges to establishing joint platforms during visits by diplomats.

Notably, in July 2025, with the participation of the Uzbek Consulate General, we signed an agreement with Tashkent State Transport University to establish the Linnan Vocational Workshop. Last month, within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, we jointly developed a new model of “government–higher education institution–industry” cooperation with Tashkent State Transport University, Guangzhou Nanlin Automotive Co., and the Guangdong Scientific and Technological Cooperation Union.

In November 2025, a delegation of deputies from the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan visited our college. During the visit, the opening ceremony of the China–Uzbekistan Center for the Linnan Vocational Workshop and cultural exchange took place.

We plan to continue developing our partnership, launching new initiatives and projects with Uzbekistan focused on youth education and vocational training.

On behalf of the college, I sincerely extend my heartfelt New Year greetings to all people of Uzbekistan. May 2026 bring you happiness, prosperity and enduring blessings to your families.
