The new ambassador of Uzbekistan presents copies of his credentials to the Hungarian MFAT

BUDAPEST, March 14. /"Dunyo" IA/. The newly appointed ambassador of Uzbekistan, Oybek Shakhavdinov, formally presented copies of his credentials to Anett Varga, the Chief of the Protocol of Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, reports "Dunyo" IA correspondent.

During the meeting, both parties reiterated their commitment to enhancing the bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary. They also discussed forthcoming engagements and events across various levels of interaction.

It’s worth noting that Ambassador Oybek Shakhavdinov, who arrived in Hungary on March 7, is the first ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary with residence in Budapest. Graduated from the University of Birmingham (UK), Tashkent State University of Law (Master’s degree), translator training courses from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO). Having commenced his career in the Khorezm region, Oybek Shakhavdinov joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2004. He began at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, subsequently serving as a referent at the Department for Cooperation with European Countries, and progressed through various roles within the diplomatic service to become the head of the department. He has also served at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Brussels. Before his appointment to Budapest, he served as the head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and European Union Institutions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
