First Ambassador of Uzbekistan presents credentials to the President of Montenegro

PODGORICA, November 27. /Dunyo IA/. The first-ever Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Montenegro with residence in Budapest Oybek Shakhavdinov presented his credentials to the President of Montenegro Jakov Milatović, on November 25, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the ceremony held at the President’s residence, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral relations, as well as steps to elevate these relations to a new level of quality.

Jakov Milatović congratulated the people of Uzbekistan on their achievements in socio-economic development and wished the country peace, prosperity, and well-being. The President of Montenegro also highlighted the significance of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s initiatives in advancing reforms and strengthening international cooperation.

Montenegro highly values the potential of bilateral relations, particularly in the areas of trade, economy, investment, and culture. The President emphasized the importance of creating favorable conditions for tourism and humanitarian exchanges.

This event marks an important step in enhancing relations aimed at developing mutually beneficial partnerships.

It is worth noting that Uzbekistan and Montenegro established diplomatic relations on December 19, 2006.

Oybek Shakhavdinov previously became the first-ever Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Slovenia and, on October 23, as the Ambassador to Croatia. In March 2024, he was appointed as Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Hungary.
