Students from Higher Education Institutions of Uzbekistan undergo internship at the country's Embassy in Russia

MOSCOW, August 21. /Dunyo IA/. A group of students pursuing degrees in international relations, international law, international economics and management at higher education institutions of Uzbekistan is undergoing an internship at the Embassy of our country in Russia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Project, implemented with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, will run from August 10th to September 6th. It involves 10 talented students from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Tashkent State University of Economics.
Interns have been assigned to the political, trade and economic, protocol and consular departments, as well as the press service of the diplomatic mission.
Under the guidance of the Embassy staff, the students are familiarizing themselves with the core areas of diplomatic and consular activities, while gaining the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired at their universities in practice.
In particular, they are learning about the processes involved in preparing for and conducting meetings with foreign delegations, participating in drafting diplomatic notes and analytical briefs, conducting weekly monitoring and analysis of the media landscape and assisting with documentation workflows.
In the consular department, the interns are familiarizing themselves with the procedures for reviewing citizens' applications, providing consular and legal assistance, issuing passports, return-to-homeland certificates and other documents, as well as granting visas to foreign nationals.
Internship contributes to enhancing the students' professional knowledge, developing skills in analytical and documentation work, maintaining protocol and interacting with compatriots, while also fostering a deeper understanding of the operations of Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions abroad.
