Expansion of Inter-Parliamentary and Inter-Regional Cooperation with Japan discussed in Tokyo

TOKYO, August 22. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov met with Member of the House of Representatives of the National Diet of Japan, Vice Chairman of the Japan-Uzbekistan Parliamentary Friendship League Seiichi Murakami, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of further developing inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries, as well as expanding trade, economic and inter-regional cooperation.
Particular attention was paid to establishing practical cooperation with Ehime Prefecture, the electoral district represented by Seiichi Murakami. In particular, the parties exchanged views on developing business contacts between representatives of the textile industry, as well as holding joint business events.
Furthermore, the possibilities of supplying horticultural and other products manufactured in Uzbekistan to the Japanese market were reviewed. Seiichi Murakami expressed his readiness to assist in establishing contacts with major Japanese retail chains.
