TASHKENT, April 11 /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Karomiddin Gadoev met with the leadership of the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The meeting focused on organizing a special exhibition at the Center of Islamic Civilization in Tashkent, featuring rare Uzbekistan-related artifacts and artworks currently preserved in the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia.
An agreement was reached to hold the exhibition as part of the official opening of the Center of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan, scheduled for September this year.
The initiative for the exhibition was proposed by the President of Uzbekistan during his official visit to Malaysia in February, aiming to enhance cultural exchanges between the peoples of the two countries.
Founded in 1998, the Islamic Arts Museum Malaysia is the largest museum dedicated to Islamic civilization in Southeast Asia, covering 30,000 square meters.
Its collection includes artifacts from across the Islamic world, with one of the rarest exhibits being an 8th-century Sogdian silk dress, which is closely linked to Uzbekistan’s historical heritage.
