Tokyo discusses prospects for cooperation development between Fergana Region of Uzbekistan and Tochigi Prefecture of Japan

TOKYO, August 6. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov held a meeting with Shigeyoshi Masubuchi, Senior Director of Tochigi Prefectural Government, as well as Fumihiko Kato, former Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the meeting, the sides discussed prospects for developing cooperation between Tochigi Prefecture and Fergana Region.
Japanese side expressed interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with Fergana Region, which has a population of 4.2 million people and demonstrates high rates of socio-economic development. Particular attention was paid to identifying priority areas of cooperation between Fergana Region and Tochigi Prefecture.
In particular, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of new joint projects in such areas as human resource training and the study of the Japanese language, cooperation between higher education institutions, agriculture, education and labor migration.
