Regions of Uzbekistan and Rostov region of Russia agree to expand cooperation in labor migration, tourism, and agriculture

ROSTOV-ON-DON, April 30. /Dunyo IA/. The Consul General of Uzbekistan, Burkhan Alikulov, met with the newly appointed First Deputy Governor of Rostov region, Alexey Gospodaryov, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the current dynamics of bilateral relations, the effectiveness of direct contacts between regions, particularly between Jizzakh region of Uzbekistan and Rostov region of Russia, as well as the organization of regular business meetings and forums involving interested entrepreneurs from both sides to strengthen economic ties were discussed. Additionally, the Uzbek side expressed interest in expanding the geographical scope of cooperation between Rostov Region and other regions of Uzbekistan.
The tourism potential of the regions of our country and opportunities for developing cooperation in this sector were also presented.
Special attention was given to issues related to cooperation in organized labor migration. It was noted that there is currently a shortage of healthcare workers in Rostov region, particularly nurses and medical assistants, and it was proposed to consider the possibility of attracting such specialists with knowledge of the Russian language from Uzbekistan.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue dialogue on deepening mutually beneficial cooperation and implementing joint projects in the aforementioned areas.
