The 64th International Flower Festival takes place in Namangan

NAMANGAN, June 2. /Dunyo IA/. Since May 25, one of Uzbekistan’s most vibrant and colorful events, the 64th International Flower Festival, has been taking place in Namangan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The festival opened with a traditional car parade. More than 200 flower-adorned vehicles of various makes traveled over 10 kilometers from Namangan International Airport to Babur Park, passing along the city’s main streets.

In preparation for the festival, which draws thousands of tourists from both Uzbekistan and abroad every year, over 100 million flowers have been planted across the city. This includes 45 million along streets and alleys, and 65 million in Babur Park, Afsona Park and New Uzbekistan Park.

At Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Park, visitors can admire unique floral compositions and live flower installations created by local and international designers. Each display carries symbolic meaning, reflecting the cultural richness and traditions of the region.

Over the course of the festival, more than 100 cultural events will take place, including concerts featuring national and international stars, Fashion Week 2025, international and local sports competitions, scientific-practical conferences, theatrical performances and circus shows for all ages. Highlights include craft exhibitions, comedy nights, culinary events such as "World Cuisine in Namangan" and "Lavender Fest", as well as an aerial drone show.

The 64th International Flower Festival will continue through June 29.
