TASHKENT, April 28. /Dunyo IA/. On April 29-30, an international conference will be held in Samarkand to commemorate the 1155th anniversary of the birth of our great compatriot, a unique scholar who made significant contributions to the development of Islamic sciences, the Sultan of Theology, Imam Abu Mansur Maturidi, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The theme of the conference will be "Maturidism – A Doctrine of Tolerance, Moderation, and Enlightenment". Preparations for the event are currently in full swing.

Its goal is to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth study of the exemplary life, rich scientific, and spiritual heritage of Imam Maturidi, to widely promote the principles of tolerance and moderation embedded in Maturidi’s teachings among the global community, and to educate the youth in the spirit of love for the homeland and respect for national and universal values.
