“The Code of Temur” published in the Belarusian language for the first time

MINSK, October 12. /Dunyo IA/.  Presentation of the Belarusian edition of the famous work by the great commander and statesman Amir Temur, “The Code of Temur” (“Temur Tuzuklari”), took place in Minsk, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Work is presented to the Belarusian public in the Belarusian language for the first time. The publication of this rare historical source in the Belarusian language demonstrates that cultural and literary ties between the two countries have reached a new level, and highlights the great interest of Belarusian readers in the history and people of Uzbekistan.

Work will provide readers with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the culture of Uzbek statehood, the system of governance and its rich educational heritage.

Publication was initiated by activists from the Belarusian State Pedagogical University. They plan to extend the project to other significant works and publications dedicated to Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, possibility of joint translation into the Belarusian language of works by prominent Uzbek writers and poets, such as Zulfiya, Erkin Vohidov, Abdulla Aripov and Chulpan, is being considered for the future.
