Ankara hosts exhibition showcasing Uzbekistan's historical and cultural heritage

ANKARA, July 23. /Dunyo IA/. An exhibition entitled “From Roots to the Republic: The History and Cultural Heritage of Uzbekistan in the TÜRKTAV Collection”, dedicated to the 690th anniversary of the birth of Amir Temur, has opened in the capital of Türkiye, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
Exposition is being held at the State Art and Sculpture Museum in Ankara from July 21st to August 1st, introducing visitors to the rich history of Uzbekistan, its cultural heritage, and the shared civilizational values of the Turkic world.
Exhibition is organized based on the collection of the Turkic History and Culture Foundation (TÜRKTAV), which is dedicated to the study and promotion of the history, language, and culture of Turkic peoples, as well as the preservation of their historical heritage.
Exposition features unique artefacts from the “TÜRKTAV” funds, reflecting the history, national culture and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan. Special attention is paid to the shared historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.
At the opening ceremony, the Chairman of “TÜRKTAV”, Nizamettin Aykurt, expressed his gratitude to the Government of Uzbekistan for supporting the project and highlighted the country's crucial role as one of the centers of Turkic civilization.
According to him, such joint cultural initiatives contribute to strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye, as well as developing historical and spiritual ties between the peoples of the Turkic world.
