ASHGABAT, November 7. /Dunyo IA/.  A Uzbekistan–Turkmenistan business forum and large-scale B2B talks were held in the capital of Turkmenistan as part of a business mission by Uzbek entrepreneurs, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

News portal “Takyk” reported that more than 200 representatives of the business communities of the two countries took part in the B2B meeting. The event was organised in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan and the Association of Small Businesses, with the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Turkmenistan. Parties discussed product supplies, ways to increase trade turnover, distribution networks and joint projects, reaching specific agreements in several areas.

Publication “Ashgabat Times” reported on the strengthening of business ties between the two countries following the B2B talks. Business Turkmenistan portal noted that participants were presented with products manufactured by Uzbek enterprises in the construction, food, chemical and light industries, as well as in the automotive, electrical engineering and furniture manufacturing sectors, among others. The portal also reported that more than 150 Uzbek entrepreneurs are taking part in the “CIET 2026” International Exhibition in Ashgabat from November 3th to 5th.

“Orient” news agency published three articles covering the forum. The first listed the products offered by Uzbek companies to their Turkmen partners, including drip irrigation technologies, agricultural machinery, seeds, cement, ceramic tiles, sandwich panels, fertilizers, fabrics, furniture, canned goods, flour, confectionery products, automotive oils, fibre-optic cables, solar power systems, IT solutions and tourism services. Meeting was held at the “Sport” Hotel with the participation of representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan. Azat Nazarov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, delivered welcoming remarks.

Another article, written in a reportage style, describes the atmosphere of the meeting. Rather than a formal protocol event, the venue turned into a lively “marketplace”, where moderators directed buyers to tables representing different industry sectors. According to the publication, the meeting resulted in contracts and agreements worth approximately $12 million. In an interview with “Orient”, Odilkhon Rustamov, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, said that discussions had been held across 12 areas and expressed his gratitude to the Turkmen side for its warm hospitality.

Next publication reports on an invitation extended to Turkmen entrepreneurs to attend the “Uzbekistan Global Trade Summit 2026”, which will be held in Tashkent from November 29th to December 6th under the slogan “New Uzbekistan: At the Crossroads of Global Markets”. More than 1,000 importers and investors from over 50 countries are expected to participate, with more than 500 B2B and B2G meetings scheduled. “Made in Uzbekistan” 2026 exhibition will also take place alongside the summit, covering an area of 12,000 square metres and featuring around 450 exhibition stands. Applications to participate as part of business delegations are being accepted until November 10th.
