BATKEN, October 31. /Dunyo IA/. An international youth forum bringing together representatives of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan was held in Batken with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Representation in Kyrgyzstan, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized by the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in Batken Region. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Osh facilitated the participation of a delegation of Uzbek youth and artists.

The official opening ceremony featured remarks by Maksatay Karimberdieva, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in Batken Region; Khurshidjon Ahmedov, Deputy Governor of Fergana Region; Adil Boltaev, representative of the executive authority of Tajikistan’s Sughd Region; and Alexandra Solovyova, UNDP Resident Representative in Kyrgyzstan.

During the forum, young people from the three countries shared information about their activities, achievements, and experience. Participants put forward proposals to strengthen friendly and partnership ties and implement joint initiatives, which received their support. They also discussed youth cooperation and a program of activities that could be implemented in the near future.

The program included an exhibition of applied arts and handicrafts by young entrepreneurs. Participants also planted saplings along the avenue near the Friendship Stele at the border junction of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. The event concluded with a large concert featuring young performers from all three countries at the central square of the city.
