ASHGABAT, December 23. /Dunyo IA/.  A roundtable dedicated to Uzbekistan’s Constitution Day was held at the Institute of International Relations under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in Ashgabat, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event brought together scholars, diplomats, university faculty, students and media representatives. Opening the discussion, Gulshat Yusupova, Rector of the Institute, extended her congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan and emphasized that the provisions of the newly revised Constitution of Uzbekistan are being implemented with both inspiration and responsibility, laying a solid foundation for the country’s future.

Rector Yusupova also highlighted recent high-level visits, including the official visit of President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow to Tashkent in November and the participation of President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the “International Forum on Peace and Trust” held in Ashgabat. She urged students to study the constitutional development of partner nations and underscored the Institute’s active cooperation with Uzbek universities through initiatives in “educational diplomacy” and youth exchanges.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ravshanbek Alimov, delivered a report titled “The New Edition of the Constitution of Uzbekistan - a legal basis for deep reforms”. He congratulated Turkmen colleagues on the successful organization of the International Forum “Peace and Trust: Shared Goals for a Stable Future” and highlighted the significance of the Ashgabat Declaration in promoting ideas of peace and mutual trust on the international stage.

Participants of the “roundtable” praised the event as a testament to the enduring friendship and mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, expressing their readiness to continue academic and professional collaboration in the years ahead.
