Mecca celebrates 33rd Anniversary of Constitution Day of Uzbekistan

• 126MECCA, December 13. /Dunyo IA/. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan organized a celebratory event marking the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan, bringing together more than 250 Uzbek pilgrims from Uzbekistan as well as guests, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
A congratulatory address by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the nation on the occasion of Constitution Day was read out, highlighting the Fundamental Law as the principal guarantor of peace, stability, the rule of law, the principles of an open society, and people’s governance.
Participants were also briefed on the large-scale reforms and renewal efforts in the religious and educational spheres initiated by the Head of State at the current stage of the country’s development. In particular, attention was drawn to initiatives aimed at reviving and promoting national traditions and values, preserving the memory of ancestors, and improving sacred sites, shrines and mosques.
At the conclusion of the event, participants expressed their gratitude to the Government of Uzbekistan for the facilities and conditions provided to ensure the comfort and well-being of all Hajj and Umrah pilgrims.
