KUALA LUMPUR, April 27. /Dunyo IA/. Embassy of Uzbekistan organized an event dedicated to Uzbek national traditions and values at Xiamen University Malaysia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The festive event was attended by compatriots working and studying in Malaysia, representatives of neighbouring states, as well as local residents.

Embassy diplomats provided detailed information about national traditions and values, particularly the history and significance of the Navruz holiday. Furthermore, information was presented regarding the large-scale reforms implemented in our country in recent years.

Special attention was paid to the priority objectives defined in the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, as well as the measures planned for 2026, which has been declared the “Year of Mahalla and Society Development”.

During the meeting, proposals and initiatives were voiced aimed at further strengthening ties with compatriots, identifying their challenges, and ensuring their timely resolution. Additionally, the necessity for Uzbek youth studying and working in Malaysia to comply with local laws and regulations was emphasized.

As part of the event, aimed at widely promoting Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage and tourism potential, concert and stage performances, national exhibitions, as well as songs and dances were organized.

The event concluded with a quiz and sports games dedicated to the Navruz holiday, with winners and runners-up receiving commemorative gifts.
