ABU DHABI, February 15. /Dunyo IA/. An online meeting was held between Farkhod Ermanov, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan and Abdullah Al-Mandous, Director General of the National Center of Meteorology of the United Arab Emirates, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The parties discussed the development of practical measures to mitigate and prevent the effects of drought currently affecting Karakalpakstan.
Special attention was given to studying the UAE’s advanced experience in cloud seeding technologies and exploring the feasibility of adapting these methods to the specific environmental conditions of Karakalpakstan.
The discussion also covered the exchange of practical expertise in artificial precipitation, the training and professional development of local specialists, the drafting of a bilateral cooperation “Roadmap” and the organization of a working visit by representatives of the UAE National Center of Meteorology to Nukus for direct assessment of local conditions.
As a result of the meeting, responsible officials were appointed on both sides to ensure timely and effective implementation of the agreed actions and an accord was reached on coordinating further joint initiatives.
