KUYAVIA-POMERANIA, 24 July. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev paid a working visit to the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship of Poland, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Located in north-central Poland, the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship is known for its food processing, chemical, electrical engineering industries, transport, communications, agriculture, and other sectors.
During the visit, the Uzbek diplomat held talks with the Marshal (Governor) of the Voivodeship, Piotr Całbecki. The meeting emphasized the significant potential for developing multifaceted ties between Uzbekistan and Poland, particularly through interregional cooperation.
Marshal noted that Poland views Uzbekistan as one of its key political and economic partners in Central Asia. He commended the large-scale reforms being carried out across all areas in the New Uzbekistan and emphasized that initiatives to support entrepreneurship and promote international cooperation are increasingly drawing the attention of Polish business circles to Uzbekistan.
The two sides held detailed discussions on priority areas of bilateral cooperation. Concrete agreements were reached to establish interregional relations between the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship and Jizzakh Region in tourism, agriculture, high technologies, labor migration, and education.
The possibility of organizing reciprocal visits this autumn — a delegation from Jizzakh region to Poland and a visit by Marshal Całbecki to Jizzakh — was also explored.
The Ambassador also met with Adam Marszałek, Chairman of the Board of "Marszałek Holding," one of Poland’s leading publishing companies. The sides discussed prospects for expanding bilateral ties and strengthening trade-economic and cultural cooperation.
An agreement was reached to ensure Uzbekistan’s participation in the 13th International Asian Congress, scheduled to take place in May 2026 in the Polish city of Toruń.
Additionally, arrangements were made for a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Cooperation between Marszałek Publishing and Uzbekistan’s state-owned publisher "O’zbekiston nashriyoti." It was noted that the signing of the memorandum would serve as a platform for the exchange of scientific, literary, and cultural materials, joint publishing projects, and the further development of cultural ties between the two countries.
During the visit, the Ambassador also held talks with Marcin Dimowski, head of "Agro Sp. z o.o.," a major supplier of vegetable products to retail chains in Poland and the United Kingdom. The meeting focused on establishing cooperation between Agro Sp. z o.o. and Uzbekistan-based "BMB Holding," which specializes in the production, processing, and export of agricultural products.
As a result of the meeting, an online dialogue between representatives of both companies was scheduled for August this year. An agreement was also reached to enable 100 students from Tashkent State Agrarian University to undertake internships at agricultural facilities of Agro Sp. z o.o.
