Second Interregional Uzbekistan–Hungary Forum highlights bilateral collaboration in Budapest

BUDAPEST, December 13. /Dunyo IA/. Budapest became a hub for regional and business cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary, hosting the Second Interregional Forum of the two countries, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The forum took place during the official visit of the Uzbek delegation led by Ulugbek Khusainov, Director of the Agency for Management Efficiency under the President of Uzbekistan. The delegation included First Deputy Hokims from Bukhara, Namangan and Surkhandarya regions, alongside representatives of regional companies.
From the Hungarian side, participants included Katalin Bihari, Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Director General of the Hungarian Export Promotion Agency, as well as governors and delegations from seven Hungarian counties – Zala, Győr-Moson-Sopron, Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén, Hajdú-Bihar, Tolna, Pest and Veszprém.
The forum focused on establishing sister-region relationships and promoting business cooperation between Uzbek and Hungarian regions. Delegates emphasized that such contacts open new opportunities for experience exchange, the development of trade and economic partnerships and the implementation of joint projects across multiple sectors.
The program brought together Hungarian companies operating in key industries, including IT (Art Work Design Ltd.), aquaculture (RIDEG & RIDEG FISH FARM Ltd.), agriculture and food processing (Agrometal Klaszter Ltd., Poliext Ltd., CapsiCare R&D Ltd., ALFASEED Ltd.), waste processing (CELITRON Medical Technologies and Servicing Ltd.), construction, energy and water management (A-Híd Építő Zrt.).
Business sessions and B2B negotiations allowed companies from both countries to explore investment and export prospects. Special attention was given to collaboration in agriculture, water management, aquaculture, energy, and construction.
The forum highlighted growing interest among Hungarian regions in partnering with Uzbek counterparts, demonstrating that economic relations can develop not only through state structures but also through direct company-to-company engagement. The event concluded with a shared commitment to further regional cooperation and the exploration of new avenues for joint projects, laying the foundation for long-term partnership.
