Uzbekistan and Czech Republic explore new opportunities for small business collaboration in Prague

PRAGUE, December 14. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbek diplomats met with Josef Jaroš, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and Crafts of the Czech Republic and Vice-Chair for International Relations Vitezslav Grushka, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The discussions focused on expanding mutually beneficial economic cooperation, fostering collaboration, and implementing joint projects between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic. Initiatives to strengthen trade and investment ties, enhance cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises, and launch joint investment ventures were also considered.
Negotiations highlighted growing interest among Czech businesses, including innovative startups, to relocate production to countries with more favorable conditions - an opportunity that opens new avenues for Uzbekistan to attract technologically advanced and high-tech projects.
Both sides expressed their intention to develop direct links between entrepreneurs, regularly hold business forums and organize "B2B meetings".
The Czech delegation was briefed on Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing economy, its substantial potential across industry, agriculture, IT, healthcare, and tourism as well as the favorable investment climate established in free economic zones.
The Czech Association’s leadership also expressed readiness to establish direct cooperation with the Union of Craftsmen of Uzbekistan and other similar organizations.
Following the talks, both sides agreed to draft a Memorandum of Understanding and hold follow-up meetings to coordinate bilateral cooperation and implement joint initiatives.
