Uzbekistan and China Expand Cooperation in Livestock Sector

BEIJING, May 18. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan met with Sha Yusheng, Secretary General of the China Animal Agriculture Association (CAAA), reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of Uzbek-Chinese cooperation in the livestock sector.

Following the meeting, the sides reached an agreement to establish systematic cooperation with CAAA and expressed interest in exchanging advanced experience, adapting Chinese practices to Uzbekistan’s conditions, and implementing joint scientific, technical, and investment projects in the industry.

As part of the expanding cooperation, Uzbek specialists are participating in the international livestock exhibition taking place on May 18-20 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. The event is considered one of Asia’s largest and most authoritative industry platforms.

The exhibition brings together leading companies, research institutes, equipment manufacturers, and international buyers. The exposition covers livestock and poultry farming, breeding, feed and feed additives, veterinary medicine and animal health, specialized machinery and technologies, as well as environmental solutions for the sector.

The exhibition will also host the Uzbekistan-China forum on the development of cooperation in the livestock sector. The forum is being organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Beijing jointly with CAAA.

Representatives of Uzbekistan’s ministries and agencies, specialized organizations, veterinary services, regional administrations, as well as scientific and business circles are expected to attend.
