Business forums and meetings with compatriots held in Philadelphia and New York with participation of Samarkand region delegation

• 138NEW YORK, May 18. /Dunyo IA/. Business forums, bilateral meetings, and events with compatriots were held in the U.S. cities of Philadelphia and New York as part of the visit of the Samarkand region delegation led by khokim Adiz Boboev, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the events, participants were presented with the economic potential of the Samarkand region, investment opportunities, and prospects for cooperation in tourism, industry, agriculture, IT, and services. An exhibition showcasing products manufactured in the Samarkand region, traditional handicrafts, and food products was also organized for attendees.
Within the framework of the business forums, negotiations were held with American entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of the Uzbek diaspora. As a result of the meetings, agreements were reached and a number of documents were signed on the implementation of projects in the fields of hospitality, education, IT, food production, agricultural processing, logistics, healthcare, and the development of recreational facilities.
Particular attention was paid to open meetings with compatriots. During the interactive discussions, participants raised issues related to investment activities, entrepreneurship, land allocation procedures, support for initiatives by local authorities, and cooperation with government agencies. Some appeals and proposals were addressed directly during the meetings, while specific instructions were issued to responsible officials on a number of matters.
Participants especially noted that this format of engagement had become an example of direct and open dialogue between regional representatives and compatriots living abroad. The meetings demonstrated the strong ties between the homeland and the Uzbek diaspora in the United States, as well as the high level of interest among compatriots in contributing to the development of the Samarkand region.
The events were organized with the support of the “Vatan Global Alliance,” representatives of the Uzbek diaspora in the United States, and the diplomatic missions of Uzbekistan.
