Uzbekistan’s trade, economic, and investment potential presented in Jiangsu province of China

YANCHOU, April 23. /Dunyo IA/. A business symposium dedicated to the investment opportunities and trade-economic potential of Uzbekistan was held in Yanchou, Jiangsu province, China, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event, organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Shanghai, was attended by representatives of the Standing Committee of the City People’s Congress, officials from the Foreign Affairs Department of Yanchou’s government, the Department of Commerce, Foreign Trade, and Investment Promotion, as well as over 50 local companies.
It is worth noting that heavy industry, "green" technologies, energy conservation, and the production of new materials are actively developing in this region of China.
The meeting highlighted the growing interest of Chinese companies in establishing cooperative ties with Uzbek partners and emphasized the importance of strengthening trade and economic cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, including in agriculture and water conservation.
Participants were provided with information about the conditions created for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, including tax and customs benefits, opportunities in special economic zones, and government support measures for exports.
The Chinese company "YAPP Group" shared its successful experience of operating in Uzbekistan. It was noted that the company benefits from a favorable investment environment, a strong market potential, and active state support.
During the event, investment proposals for various projects in different regions of Uzbekistan were distributed. Participants were encouraged to actively participate in international business forums to be held in Jizzakh in April and Nukus in May of this year.
An agreement was reached to send a delegation of officials and representatives of leading companies from the Chinese region to Uzbekistan in the second half of this year for project negotiations.
