VLADIVOSTOK, July 26. /Dunyo IA/. Uzbekistan's Consul General Khajiakbar Vakhabov met with Konstantin Sidorenko, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Russia's Primorsky Krai, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the meeting, the Russian side was briefed on the large-scale reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the field of foreign trade, as well as on the preferences and favourable conditions being created for foreign investors. The parties also exchanged views on the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation.

Particular attention was paid to further expanding trade and economic ties, including increasing exports of Uzbekistan-made products to the Primorsky Krai market. The discussions focused on the prospects of opening a Uzbekistan Trade House, establishing a showroom for Uzbek products, organizing national product fairs, arranging reciprocal business missions involving representatives of the business community, and holding a business forum in Vladivostok.

The minister expressed Primorsky Krai's readiness to facilitate the expansion of high-quality and competitive Uzbek products in the regional market despite the region's own strong agricultural base. In particular, the discussions covered supplies of fresh and dried fruits, melons and gourds, textile products, and electrical equipment.

He also reaffirmed the region's willingness to assist in establishing distribution centers for goods supplied at the request of the Uzbek side.
