Uzbekistan and Slovenia discuss new joint projects in Ljubljana

LJUBLJANA, July 25. /Dunyo IA/. Ambassador of Uzbekistan Oybek Shakhavdinov has held meetings with representatives of leading Slovenian companies and organizations in the capital of Slovenia, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

During the talks, parties discussed prospects for expanding Uzbek-Slovenian trade, economic, investment and technological cooperation, as well as the implementation of joint projects in priority sectors of the economy.

Particular attention was paid to expanding cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals, energy, transport, digital technologies, mechanical engineering, waste management, aviation, education and consulting.

Slovenian business representatives confirmed their strong interest in establishing joint ventures in Uzbekistan, localizing production and making direct investments.

Following the meetings, agreements were reached to continue the practical development of joint investment projects, organize visits of Slovenian business delegations to Uzbekistan, hold negotiations with relevant ministries and agencies and select local partners for the implementation of joint initiatives.
