BERLIN, July 26. /Dunyo IA/.  “Masche”, a German magazine specializing in the textile industry, has published an article highlighting the new phase of the “GUZ Partners – German-Uzbek Textile Partners” project, implemented within the framework of cooperation between the textile industry associations of Germany and Uzbekistan, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

Publication notes that the project, jointly implemented by the German Textile and Fashion Association (“GESAMTMASCHE”) and Uzbekistan Textile and Garment Industry Association (Uztextileprom), has entered a new phase in the Kashkadarya region following the successful completion of its pilot stage in the Fergana region. The initiative is designed to prepare Uzbekistan's small and medium-sized textile enterprises for international business cooperation by strengthening their capacities in management, marketing, and corporate communications, while also expanding the network of reliable and competitive partners for German companies.

According to Kamola Nabieva, project's expert in Uzbekistan, a company's competitiveness is determined not only by its production performance. Professional engagement with international partners, well-defined decision-making mechanisms, and an effective management system are also essential prerequisites for sustainable cooperation. Article also highlights the continued strengthening of the international standing of Uzbekistan's textile industry, which today is distinguished by its modern production facilities, vertically integrated value chains and commitment to meeting internationally recognized social and environmental standards. Alongside price and quality, openness, transparency and confidence in compliance with agreed standards are becoming increasingly important.

Within the framework of the “GUZ Partners” initiative, particular emphasis is also placed on supporting women's entrepreneurship. Greater integration of active and promising women entrepreneurs into national and international business networks helps expand their business opportunities and foster long-term partnerships with foreign counterparts. As part of the project, a business forum was held in Karshi, bringing together women entrepreneurs from the Fergana, Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions to exchange experiences, learn about the operations of “Bunyodkor” enterprise, and explore opportunities to strengthen cooperation between large and small businesses.

Publication concludes that “GUZ Partners” contributes to building sustainable business partnerships between small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Germany and Uzbekistan, diversifying supply sources, and fostering new avenues of cooperation across different stages of the textile value chain.
