Uzbekistan expands cooperation with Inner Mongolia

HOHHOT, May 30. /Dunyo IA/. Diplomats from the Embassy of our country in Beijing met with Wang Weizhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
During the conversation, the parties discussed establishing production in the fields of agriculture and the agro-industrial complex, high-quality livestock products, and textile raw materials, as well as the mutual supply of vegetable and grain products between the two countries.
The Chinese side expressed its full readiness for systematic cooperation in all discussed priority areas, strengthening trade and economic ties, and intensifying delegation exchanges to elevate interregional partnership to a qualitatively new level.
During the talks, the importance of establishing sister-city relations between the regions of Uzbekistan and Inner Mongolia was emphasized to expand direct contacts. Following the meeting, the parties agreed to organize mutual visits of delegations in the near future to practically implement projects in trade, economic, scientific, technological and humanitarian spheres.
Inner Mongolia is one of China’s largest and strategically significant economic regions. Endowed with rich natural resources, the region is characterized by a high level of development in livestock breeding and other industrial sectors.
The population of the autonomous region stands at 23.8 million people, with its gross regional product exceeding 383.9 billion dollars. The primary agricultural crops cultivated in the region include wheat, corn, soybeans, potatoes, and forage crops. This opens up broad opportunities for the Uzbek agro-industrial sector in terms of exchanging experience and expanding mutual product supplies.
