Works of Uzbek artist featured at international exhibition in Germany

• 90CHEMNITZ, December 17. /Dunyo IA/. An international art exhibition titled “Distant Spaces” is currently taking place in the German city of Chemnitz, featuring works by the renowned Uzbek artist Jura Asran, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.
The exhibition showcases works by artists from Europe, South America, and the island regions of the Indian Ocean. Among them, the creations of the well-known Uzbek artist stand out with the theme “Expression of Nature and National Color”. His works depict the unique landscapes of the country’s mountainous regions, the distinctive beauty of villages and gardens, rural life, ancient mills, and other scenes reflecting the national character.
It is worth noting that Jura Asran’s works have previously been exhibited at international shows in France, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Russia, and several cities in Germany.
The international art exhibition “Distant Spaces” is organized as part of the Chemnitz 2025 – European Capital of Culture program. The exhibition features paintings, photographs, sculptures, and other works of art.
Jura Asran (Jurabay Abdulazizovich Asranov) is a master painter. He studied at the Republican Specialized Art School named after P.P. Benkov from 1976 to 1980 and at the A.N. Ostrovsky Institute from 1981 to 1987. Since 1985, he has participated in both national and international exhibitions. He is also the laureate of the “Greatest and Most Valuable” competition (2005).
Visitors to the exhibition highly praised the works of the Uzbek artist. One attendee noted:
-The works of the Uzbek artist aroused great interest among us Europeans. The national character and Uzbek color in the paintings attract viewers. Through this, foreigners learn more about Uzbekistan’s historic cities and culture and feel inspired to visit your country.
Another visitor added:
-The choice of colors and national character in Jura Asran’s works give the exhibition a unique authenticity. The Eastern refinement of the imagery leaves a special impression on the German audience. Through these works, the cultural spirit of Central Asia is felt, further revealing the main theme and idea of the exhibition.
The artist’s son, Abdulla Juraev, commented:
-The works presented at the exhibition are attracting considerable interest. Viewers are particularly drawn to the national spirit, traditional Uzbek costumes, and local color depicted in the paintings. Artists and art professionals from different countries highly appreciate our works, highlighting the expressiveness of the images and the harmony of colors. Such presentations contribute to a broader promotion of our country abroad, as visitors gain an understanding of Uzbekistan, its historic cities, and ancient culture through the artworks. Some exhibition participants have even expressed a desire to visit our country, inspired by the paintings they have seen.
The exhibition will run until December 30.
