USSURIYSK, May 7. /Dunyo IA/. The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Vladivostok, in cooperation with the National-Cultural Autonomy of Koreans of Primorsky Krai, organized an Uzbek Pilaf Festival at the "Благодать" recreation center in the city of Ussuriysk, reports a Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event gathered representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Primorsky Krai, members of Uzbek, Korean, and other ethnic community organizations, local residents, and compatriots — including around 400 Uzbek students.
The festival opened with an exhibition on Uzbekistan, highlighting the country’s large-scale tourism reforms, rich historical and cultural heritage, and the travel opportunities available in its ancient cities.
Attendees enjoyed a pilaf-making masterclass and a festive pilaf cooking competition featuring amateur chefs from across Primorsky Krai.
Seven regional varieties of Uzbek pilaf were prepared at the event, showcasing the culinary traditions of Tashkent, Fergana, Andijan, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Kashkadarya regions.
Musical performances by both amateur and renowned local artists added to the festive atmosphere.
Guests were also provided with informational materials, including flyers and books about Uzbekistan’s tourism potential.
