TASHKENT, April 28. /Dunyo IA/.  More than 300 dancers, professional dance troupes, masters of choreography, musicologists, art historians, cultural figures and experts from over 30 countries - including Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Türkiye, Kyrgyzstan, Brazil and Japan - are participating in the 3rd International Lazgi Dance Festival, which opened in Khiva, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

According to the Chinese news agency “Xinhua”, an international dance competition is also being held as part of the event.

“We consider it a great honor to participate in the festival. We came here to share our art and love for dance. We are also very happy to establish new friendships and connections in this very beautiful city”, - said Wu Shuai, a mentor from the Beijing Dance Academy ensemble participating in the dance competition.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated the participants of the 3^rd International Lazgi Dance Festival in Khiva on the opening of this celebration of music and art.

The Khorezm dance Lazgi is recognized by UNESCO as an element of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The 3^rd International Lazgi Dance Festival will continue until April 30^th.
