OMAN, January 6. /Dunyo IA/.   An article titled “Uzbekistan is among the safest countries in the world” was published in the Omani publication “Asdaa Oman”, highlighting Uzbekistan’s growing international reputation and its achievements in ensuring security, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The article emphasizes that the positive results in international rankings and indicators confirm the success of the systematic reforms being implemented in Uzbekistan in the areas of human rights protection, public security, and crime prevention. According to information provided by the Institute of Criminology Research of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the country has strengthened its position in several prestigious international indicators, achieving record highs in some rankings, based on the 2025 results.

According to the Omani publication, Uzbekistan ranked 81st out of 143 countries in 2025 in the World Justice Project's Rule of Law Index, a Washington, D.C.-based organization, improving its ranking by two places compared to the previous year. Notably, while 68% of countries worldwide experienced a decline in this index, Uzbekistan managed to improve its performance.

In the Safety Perception Index, compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace, Uzbekistan ranked first, earning recognition as one of the safest countries in the world. Additionally, for the first time, the country entered the top 80 in the Global Innovation Index.

In addition, Uzbekistan ranked first with a score of 0.072 in the “Perceived Security Index” compiled by the Institute for Economics and Peace, making it one of the safest countries in the world.

Meanwhile, according to the results of the 2025 Global Innovation Index, Uzbekistan ranked 79th out of 139 countries, entering the list of the top 80 countries for the first time in the country’s history.

Uzbekistan also showed high results in the World Happiness Index, rankings for road safety, women’s status, business environment, rule of law, and cybersecurity.

The article concludes that these results clearly reflect the effectiveness of reforms aimed at protecting the interests of individuals, society, and the state, improving the judicial system, and ensuring the rule of law in Uzbekistan. In this context, it is evident that the analytical approach, scientifically based proposals, and effective cooperation with law enforcement agencies of the Institute of Criminology Research play a significant role in strengthening international confidence.
